Weekly Newsletter

Good morning, Trench Sisters!

Happy almost Fall! The weather is getting cooler, bonfires are beginning and pretty sure I can smell s'mores in the air. Also exciting is that SFTT is getting closer to our one year anniversary. Thank you for being a part of the trench community for almost a year!

STORIES AND FORUMS

Our September series - Mosaic - begins this week. Our theme this month allowed for a variety of diverse stories that are going to touch your heart and move your soul. Be sure to come back to the website this week to read an anonymous written story about what happens with the pregnancy ultrasound doesn't go as planned and Darlene's story about overcoming childhood abuse.

Our forums are a great place to engage with our authors and other trench community members that have gone through or going through the same trenches as you. Our forums are private with a separate login through our website. Click here to head to our forums now

We also have starting this week - new social media content, additional resources and our forum engagement is back. Be sure to check our Facebook page for daily new engagement opportunities.

UPCOMING EVENTS

Join me for our next Facebook Live on Sunday, September 17th at 8:00 p.m. central time.

NEEDS & OPPORTUNITIES

If you remember back in May, we partnered with Grieving Parents Support Network to share grieving momma stories. This October for Pregnancy & Infant Loss Awareness Month we would like to again honor your children with the series, Remembering You. If you are a grieving momma and would like to share your loss with the trench community, you can begin your story submission here

We are looking for a Social Media Director to oversee our Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram accounts. Our ideal candidate is knowledgeable and enthusiastic about all social media outlets, someone who is creative as well as thoughtful when interacting with online communities and building relationships. The candidate also needs to be compassionate and empathic towards our audience—women who are experiencing the trenches of life and finding healing, support, and encouragement through sharing their stories. If you or someone you know would be a good fit, please email me!

Jen's Journal

My focus was really divided this summer between being a mom, wife, part time job and SFTT. I did not devote as much time as I would have liked to growing SFTT and been wrestling with a lot of guilt over it. Then I came across this quote from Karen Young, Product Designer & Entrepreneur- "The biggest lesson I've learned is to prepare for the long haul, the rise and fall, and let neither define your sense of self." Took me a day to unpack this gut punch quote and Sisters am I back! The wind is back in my sail and I'm ready for the long haul with you. I hope you are ready for an amazing fall together!
