Additional Resources: Child Loss

This week, we heard from Jen, founder of Stories from the Trenches, as she shared Eli's story—a story of child loss. We hope these additional resources offer strength and encouragement to those who are also in this trench. Please feel free to leave additional suggestions in the comments!

Websites

Families for HoPE →

This non-profit seeks to provide support to families who are first receiving a diagnosis of holoprosencephaly (HPE) or other related brain malformations, families and loved ones of children who are living with HPE, and those who are grieving the loss of an infant or child with HPE.

The Carter Centers | HPE →

This website offers information and resources to "educate families about the disorder, enhance their knowledge of HPE and how to manage their child's health, and assist families with coping with the overwhelming demands that often accompany providing care for a child with special needs."

Little Gibson →

Jen and her husband, Tim, started a blog to chronicle their time with Eli after a 30-week ultrasound revealed what was later diagnosed as HPE. This story of love and loss and grief is what became the foundation for Stories from the Trenches.
