Good morning, Trench Sisters!

Last night, we spent an evening for Advent on the topic of Peace. I closed my eyes for reflection and my heavy felt heavy as I sunk deeper into the word peace. My truth is, I do not feel very peaceful but I also do not feel chaotic. The hole in my soul feels empty and bottomless this holiday season so it seems there is much more reflection to do. What are your thoughts on the word peace? Do you feel peaceful?

Jen's Journal

Tim and I spent Saturday in downtown Chicago with our best friends. Our girls spent the day with their grandparents so it was just us. It has been years since I spent time enjoying the hustle & bustle of the holiday season in Chicago. The day felt magical, special and I savored every moment. Though my body definitely paid for it dearly yesterday when I had to wake up to get our girls from their grandparents after 4 hours of sleep. All worth it though.
